Cirkadian Rhythms in Man

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na stručný přehled informací o cirkadiánních rytmech člověka. Za cirkadiánní řízení organismu odpovídají biologické hodiny. Fyzicky je reprezentují shluky jader v mozku, uložené poblíž křížení zrakových nervů (tzv. suprachiasmatická jádra). Základními řídícími faktory biologických hodin jsou světla a tma. Za oscilace v biologických hodinách odpovídá spínání a vypínání určité sady genů. Tyto geny byly nazvány hodinové. Důležitou roli v cirkadiánním řízení organismu hraje epifýza a její hormon melatonin vykazující cirkadiánní produkci. Vysokých hladin v krvi dosahuje melatonin v noci, naopak ve dne je jeho produkce minimální. Melatonin je tak ukazatelem noci, respektive spánku. Cirkadiánní řízení spánku objasňuje Borbélyho model. Chronobiologie jako obor studující životní cykly se uplatňuje zejména v medicíně. Zde se nejvíce pozornosti věnuje cirkadiánním změnám v činnosti kardiovaskulárního systému. V medicíně se též uplatňují léčivé síly spánku. O prokázání tohoto účinku spánku se zasloužil hlavně I. P. Pavlovov a jeho škola.

Abstract:

Bachelor´s thesis is dealing with the brief survey of information about circadian rhythms of men. Biological clocks have responsibility for the circadian controlling of organism. They are physical represented by cluster of nuclei, that are located near the crossing of optical nerves (suprachiasmatic nuclei). Dark and light are the basic controlling factors. For oscillations in the biological clocks have responsibility the switching off and switching on the sets of genes. These genes were called hour genes. The important role in the circadian controlling of organisms plays pineal body (epiphysis) and her hormone melatonin showing circadian production. Melatonin has high levels at night and low during the day. That´s why the melatonin is the indicator of the night let us say of sleeping. The Borbély´s model explains to us the circadian controlling of sleeping. Chronobiology as subject of cycles of life has applying in the medicine. The most attention is paid to circadian changes in the activity of cardiovascular system. In the medicine are also applied the curative effects of sleeping. I. P. Pavlov and his school takes credit for proving of this creative effect of sleeping.
