Occurence of bryozoan Pectinatella magnifica in selected localities of North Bohemia

Abstract:

V práci byl ověřován výskyt nepůvodního druhu mechovky Pectinatella magnifica na šesti lokalitách v severních Čechách: jezero Chmelař u Úštěka, pískovna Dobříň, veslařský kanál u Račic, Žernosecké jezero, malá vodní elektrárna u Píšťan, úsek Labe mezi obcí Křešice a městem Litoměřice. Společně se sběrem dat o výskytu mechovky byly zaznamenávány i charakteristiky prostředí, které mohou s výskytem druhu souviset. Jmenovitě se jedná o teplotu vody, pH, konduktivitu, koncentraci kyslíku, charakter dna, vegetace, způsob hospodaření a historii lokality. Výskyt mechovky byl potvrzen v Žernoseckém jezeře. Výsledky terénního šetření indikují, že se druh v oblasti zatím vyskytuje pouze velmi lokálně. Správnost těchto závěrů je v práci blíže diskutována.

Abstract:

In this thesis the occurrence of non-native species of bryozoans Pectinatella magnifica at six locations in northern Bohemia was examined. The investigated areas are lake Chmelař near by the town Úštěk, sandpit Dobříň, rowing canal near Račice, Žernosecké lake, a small hydropower station at Píšťany and section of the Elbe river between the village Křešice and the town Litoměřice. Alongside of the collection of data on the occurrence of bryozoans environmental characteristics, which may be associated with the occurrence of this species, were also recorded. The investigated characteristics are: water temperature, pH, conductivity, oxygen concentration, the texture of the bottom, vegetation, methods of farming and history of the locations. The occurrence of bryozoans was confirmed in Žernosecké lake. The results of field surveys indicate that the species in the area occurs just locally. The results of these measurements and their accuracy are more closely discussed in the thesis.
