Narrative analysis of the life of athletes with physical disabilities

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá narativní analýzou života sportovců s tělesným postižením. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jak sport ovlivňuje život vybraných jedinců s vrozeným tělesným postižením. Práce je rozčleněna do tří kapitol, z nichž první dvě se zabývají teoretickými poznatky a třetí pak výzkumným šetřením. První kapitola se zaměřuje na problematiku osob s tělesným postižením, detailněji přibližuje fenomén tělesného postižení, rozštěp páteře, systém vzdělávání osob s tělesným postižením a rovněž se zabývá bariérovostí v životě osob s tělesným postižením. Druhá kapitola se věnuje sportu osob s tělesným postižením, jeho vymezení a organizaci, dále sportovní motivací a popisem vybraných sportů osob s tělesným postižením. Třetí kapitola této práce se zabývá výzkumným šetřením, jeho cíli a metodikou, přičemž obsahuje také analyticko-obsahovou část výzkumného šetření, dále pak analýzu a interpretaci výsledků výzkumného šetření, jakož i závěry výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a narrative analysis of the life of athletes with physical disabilities. The main aim of the thesis is to find out how sport affects the lives of selected individuals with congenital physical disabilities. The thesis is divided into three chapters, the first two of which deal with theoretical findings and the third with the research investigation. The first chapter focuses on people with physical disabilities, detailing the phenomenon of physical disabilities, spina bifida, the education system for people with physical disabilities and also looks at barriers in the lives of people with physical disabilities. The second chapter focuses on sport for people with physical disabilities, its definition and organisation, as well as sport motivation and a description of selected sports for people with physical disabilities. The third chapter of this thesis deals with the research investigation, its objectives and methodology, while it also includes the analytical and content part of the research investigation, as well as the analysis and interpretation of the results of the research investigation and the conclusions of the research investigation.
