Use of electron microscopy for the analysis of structural phases of technical materials

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářské práce rešeršně zpracovává oblast elektronové mikroskopie, přede-vším rastrovacích elektronových mikroskopů, u kterých lze využít metody Energiově Disperzního Systému detekce. Úvodní část je primárně věnována popisu elektronového mikroskopu jako celku s důrazem na jednotlivé funkční prvky. Následně jsou již popsá-ny zákonitosti rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie, možnosti jejího využití i limity, tam již musí být využito technologie transmisního mikroskopu. Jelikož je ve strojírenské praxi značný požadavek nejen na výstupní kvalitu produkovaných výrobků, ale rovněž i na testování vstupních materiálů je v předložené práci popsána problematika praktické me-talografie. Jedná se o přípravu metalografických preparátů, které jsou využity, v experi-mentální části bakalářské práce. Na konkrétních vzorcích bylo provedeno tepelné zpra-cování a vyhodnocena mikrostruktura pomocí světelné i elektronové mikroskopie.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the field of electron microscopy, in particular with scan-ning electron microscopes that can use the method of Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Spec-troscopy detection. The introductory part is mainly devoted to the description of the electron microscope as a whole, with details of individual functional elements. This is followed by a description of the laws of scanning electron microscopy, the possibilities of its application, and the limits where the technique of transmission microscopy must be used. Since in engineering practice not only the output quality of the manufactured products but also the examination of the input materials is of importance, the present work describes the subject of practical metallography. It deals with the preparation of metallographic specimens that were used in the experimental part of the bachelor's the-sis. Heat treatment was performed on the concrete samples and the microstructure was evaluated using optical light and electron microscopy
