Abstract:

Disertační práce usiluje o analýzu vzniku a vývoje německého muzejnictví na Moravě, které chápe jako kulturní fenomén tvořený nejen samotnými muzejními institucemi, ale i lidmi, jež se na jejich aktivitách podíleli. Do středu pozornosti se dostala zejména odlišnost jeho celkového vývoje od protějšků v ostatních německy mluvících zemích, která byla způsobena nejen lokálními hospodářskými, politickými, kulturními a národnostními specifiky, ale i průnikem tehdejších nových náhledů na postavení a úlohu muzeí. Ty se na Moravu šířily především z německého prostředí již od přelomu devatenáctého a dvacátého století a jejich zprostředkovateli se zde staly i osobnosti, přicházející sem právě z některých německy mluvících oblastí střední Evropy. Jejich hlavním představitelem se stal v brněnském uměleckoprůmyslovém muzeu působící rodilý Vídeňan Julius Leisching (1865-1933). Díky jeho iniciativě vznikl Svaz rakouských uměleckoprůmyslových muzeí a poté také Svaz německo-moravských místních muzeí, který z doposud nesourodého konglomerátu místních moravských muzeí pod německou správou vytvořil vzájemně kooperující celek ovlivňující řadu jejich vnitromuzejních i veřejných aktivit. Toto úzké sepětí, které ve své době bylo unikátní záležitostí, však zaniklo záhy po roce 1918 a v dalším průběhu existence německo-moravského muzejnictví se již v původní intenzitě nikdy neobnovilo. Právě vnitřní faktory, zvláště pak vzájemné soupeření obou zemských etnik, se výrazně podepsaly i v dalších oblastech, jimž jsou věnovány následující části práce. Šlo především o typologické rozčlenění těchto ústavů, v jehož rámci absentovaly nebo byly velmi oslabeny některé typy těchto institucí, dále poměrně proměnlivý, přesto neustále stoupající počet muzeí, který často souvisel s aktuální politickou situací na zemské i obecní úrovni. Výsledkem těchto “sporů o muzea” však často byla i vzájemná kooperace obou etnik nejen v rámci centrálních ústavů (Moravské zemské muzeum, Moravské uměleckoprůmyslové muzeum), ale i v některých vlastivědných muzeích (např. Brno, Jihlava, Olomouc, Ostrava, Znojmo). Další kapitoly jsou pak zaměřeny na problematiku administativní správy muzeí, její podobu a postavení německého prvku v ní a také muzejní aktivity rozdělené podle muzeologických hledisek na selekci, tezauraci a prezentaci. Zvláštní kapitolu tvoří analýza lidského faktoru, který je v rámci německého muzejnictví na Moravě rozčleněn do dvou hlavních skupin - na lidi podílející se na činnosti muzea a na konzumenty jejich snah – návštěvníky.

Abstract:

The aim of the dissertation thesis is to analyse the origin and development of the German museums in Moravia presented as a cultural phenomena formed not only by the museum institutions themselves, but as well by people who participated in their activities. Divergence of the overall development comparing to counterparts in other German speaking countries, which was caused not only by the local, economic, political, cultural and national specificity but also by diffusion of then new ideas about the position and function of the museums, became the centre of attention. The ideas had been spread across Moravia from the German environment since the turn of the twentieth century by (among others) the personages coming here from some Central European German-speaking regions. The native Viennese Julius Leisching (1865-1933), working in the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno, became their main representative. Thanks to his efforts, the Austrian Museums of Applied Arts Association and later also the German-Moravian Local Museums Association came into being and helped to create, from so far inhomogenous conglomerate of local Moravian museums under German administration, the mutually cooperative unit influencing number of its internal and external activities. This close interrelation, which was unique at that time, disappeared very soon after 1918 and during the existence of the German-Moravian museology was never restored with the same intensity. The internal factors, especially the mutual rivalry of both ethnic groups of the Moravian Land, influenced also the other areas discussed in the following part of the work. It was caused mainly by the typological division of the institutes, within which some of the types of these institutes were missing or were very debilitated, then by rather variable, though continually rising number of museums, which was very often associated with the current political situation on the provincial and local level. However, these “disputes about museums” very often resulted in mutual cooperation of the both ethnic groups not only within the central institutions (the Moravian Museum, the Moravian Museum of Applied Art), but also in some regional museums (e.g. Brno, Jihlava, Olomouc, Ostrava, Znojmo). The further chapters are then focused on the museum administration questions, its form and German element role, as well as on museum activities divided from the point of e museum activities and the recipients of their effort – the visitors.
