Security threat of radicalization in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce Bezpečnostní hrozba radikalizace v České republice je zaměřena na jev radikalizace jako hrozby pro občany a demokratické zřízení našeho státu. Toto téma bylo zvoleno pro svou aktuálnost u nás i v zahraničí a také pro předpoklad budoucího vývoje problematiky tohoto fenoménu. Cílem této diplomové práce je prezentovat zásadní informace týkající se fenoménu násilné radikalizace v kontextu regionálních specifik na území České republiky a vymezit hrozby, které z tohoto fenoménu plynou, možnosti prevence, detekce a následné nápravy deradikalizací. První část je zaměřena na teoretické vymezení pojmů které se vyskytují v dané problematice, na rozdělení směrů násilné radikalizace a na vytyčení jejich charakteristik a specifik. V práci je zmíněn i právní přesah násilné radikalizace včetně kriminologického pohledu vyjádřeného i za pomoci statistiky. Následující část práce se věnuje boji s násilnou radikalizací, s jejími důsledky na společnost, ale také riziky a v neposlední řadě důležité prevenci. Záměrným výstupem diplomové práce je deskripce násilné radikalizace v prostředí České republiky, se zahrnutím možných příčin, následků a zjištění zda je možná přesná predikce do budoucnosti.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis The Security Threat of Radicalization in the Czech Republic is focused on the phenomenon of radicalization as a threat to citizens and the democratic establishment of our state. This topic was chosen for its topicality in the Czech Republic and abroad as well as for the assumption of future development of this phenomenon. The aim of this diploma thesis is to present the basic information concerning the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the context of regional specifics in the Czech Republic and to define the threats resulting from this phenomenon, the possibilities of prevention, detection and subsequent remediation of deradicalization. The first part is focused on the theoretical definition of terms that occur in the issue, the division of the directions of violent radicalization and the delineation of their characteristics and specifics. The thesis also mentions the legal overlap of violent radicalization, including the criminological view expressed with the help of statistics. The following part of the thesis is devoted to the fight against violent radicalization, its consequences on society, but also risks and last but not least important prevention. The deliberate outcome of the thesis is a description of violent radicalization in the Czech Republic, including possible causes, consequences and finding out whether a precise prediction for the future is possible.
