Social democracy in Třemošná from 1900 until the economic crisis

Abstract:

Práce popisuje činnost politické organizace sociální demokracie mezi lety 1900-1930, přibližuje rovněž aktivity čtyř dalších spolků, které se v daném období ke straně hlásily. Na začátku je popsán vývoj sociálnědemokratické strany v rámci Rakouska-Uherska, Československa a Plzeňska. Ve druhé kapitole navazuje seznámení s dějinami Třemošné. Třetí kapitola se zabývá vývojem sociální demokracie v Třemošné v období před vznikem republiky. Těžiště práce představuje kapitola o činnosti politické organizace po vzniku republiky, kdy záhy sociální demokracie získala absolutní většinu v třemošenském zastupitelstvu. Pátá kapitola se věnuje Svazu českých kovodělníků v Třemošné, následující kapitola popisuje místní organizaci Svazu stavebního a keramického dělnictva. V sedmé kapitole je představena jedna z nejvýzamnějších satelitních organizací strany, a sice Dělnická tělocvičná jednota. Osmá kapitola mapuje činnost Pěvecko?dramatického spolku ?Rozkvět?. Poslední kapitola se věnuje pořízení a provozování Lidového domu v Třemošné, v jehož prostorách probíhaly schůze jak politické organizace sociální demokracie, tak i některých dalších spolků.

Abstract:

This thesis describes the activities of the local ogranisation of the Social democratic party in Třemošná between 1900-1930. It also describes the activities of the other organisations, that were allied with this political party. The first chapter refers to the general history of the social democracy in Austria-Hungary, Czechoslovakia and in the region of Pilsen. The second part introduces history of Třemošná. The next chapter describes the political organisation of the party in the years 1900-1918. The main section of this thesis is the fourth chapter, that refers to the events in the life of the political organisation after WWI, when the social democracy acquired the absolute majority of the seats in the village council. The fift chapter gives an account of The Union of Czech Metalworkers in Třemošná, the following chapter deals with the Union of Building and Ceramic Workers in Třemošná. The 7th chapter introduces one of the most important satellite-organisations of the party ? The Workers Gymnastics Union. Next chapter describes the activities of The Choir and Drama Club Rozkvět. The last chapter informs about the acquisiton of the Society house in Třemošná, where the sessions of the political organisation and some other groups took place.
