Diplomová práce se zabývá žánrovou analýzou dvou významných děl literatury 20. století - Pán prstenů J. R. R. Tolkiena a série knih o Harry Potterovi od J. K. Rowlingové. Při snaze žánrově tato díla jsou nápomocny definice žánrů souvisejících s fantasy literaturou, jako např. romance, pohádka, román, nebo žánrová literatura. The diploma thesis deals with a genre analysis of works of fantasy genre: J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.
