Nonmarital Fertility and Attitudes in Choosen European Countries

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem nemanželské plodnosti v Evropě. Nejprve je fenomén nemanželské plodnosti zasazen do širšího kontextu demografických změn, které začaly probíhat v zemích západní Evropy od druhé poloviny 20. století. Tyto demografické změny jsou podrobně rozebrány v rámci konceptu druhého demografického přechodu, který tvoří teoretický rámec této diplomové práce. V další části je rozebrán vývoj nemanželské plodnosti v evropských zemích podle geografických regionů. Větší pozornost je věnována nemanželské plodnosti v České republice. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na zachycení trendů, které jsou možné v jednotlivých evropských zemích pozorovat v souvislosti s mimomanželskou plodností. Empirická část práce se zaměřuje na postoje k nemanželské plodnosti ve vybraných zemích Evropy. Reálné hodnoty nemanželské plodnosti v jednotlivých zemích jsou porovnávány se zjištěnými postoji. Na základě analýzy postojů k fenoménu jsou vybrány tři země, které tyto postoje reprezentují. Další část práce se zabývá těmito vybranými státy a snaží se zjistit, které socio- demografické ukazatele mají vliv na postoje lidí k nemanželské plodnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis concern with phenomenon of out of wedlock childbearing in Europe. At the beginning is phenomenon of nonmarital fertility explicate to the brader concept of demographical changes which started in the West european countries from the second half of the 20.th. century. These changes are analysed in detail within the frame of concept the second demographic transition, which serve as a theoretical background of this thesis. In the next part of this work is analysed evolution of nonmarital fertility in the individual countries of different geographical regions of Europe. Substantial part of this section engage in out of wedlock fertility in Czech republic. It is also emphasized trends in out of wedlock childbearing which exist in European countries. Empirical part of this thesis concern with attitudes towards nonmarital fertility in some choosen European countries. On the basis of analyse of attitudes towards out of wedlock childbearing are chosen three countries which will represent this attitudes. Further part of this thesis concern with this choosen countries a try to find out, which socio-demographic variable have influence on the attitudes of people towards nonmarital fertility.
