Further education of teachers in the area of dealing with bullying at basic school

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá dalším vzděláváním pedagogů na základní škole v oblasti zvládání šikany. Práce zjišťuje aktuální způsoby, jak třídní učitelé řeší výskyt šikany ve školním prostředí a věnuje se nalezení způsobů zlepšení. Cílem této práce je vytvořit metodiku vzdělávání pro učitele, která vychází z aktuálních potřeb žáků i učitelů. Práce má charakter teoreticko-aplikovaný, skládá se ze dvou částí. Teoretická část definuje pojmy jako je školní třída, šikana. Představuje další vzdělávání pedagogů a způsoby řešení šikany. V této časti je rozebrána specifická role třídního učitele v rámci zvládání šikany. Aplikovaná část práce nabízí návrh vzdělávacího kurzu pro učitele, který je založený na analýze vzdělávacích potřeb třídních učitelů a zpětných vazeb žáků. Jde o aplikaci Evidence-Based learning approach v dalším vzdělávání učitelů k tématu zvládání šikany.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with primary school teachers’ further education in bullying coping strategies. The thesis explores the ways class teachers are currently using to cope with issues in the school environment and offers solutions to improve the situation. The goal of the thesis is to create teachers’ training methodology based on both pupils’ and teachers’ current needs. Based on applied theory, the thesis has been divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines terms such as a school class and bullying. Apart from that, teachers’ further education and strategies to cope with bullying are described, including the specific role of the class teacher in copying with bullying. Based on the analysis of class teachers’ educational needs and pupils’ feedback, the applied part of the thesis includes a curriculum suggestion for a teachers’ educational course. As such, the evidence-based learning approach has been applied to provide teachers with further training in bullying coping strategies.
