Realization and administration of local area networks by using Windows Server 2008

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá metodami a technikami sloužícími pro realizaci a správu lokálních počítačových sítí s využitím Windows Server 2008. První část je věnována fyzickému návrhu lokální počítačové sítě, kde je čtenář seznámen se zásadami výběru typu počítačové sítě, topologie, přenosového média a s principy budování strukturované kabeláže. Druhá část práce se zabývá zásadami logického návrhu lokálních počítačových sítí, kde jsou popsány principy funkčnosti aktivních síťových prvků. Dále se tato část věnuje vytváření virtuálních sítí, technikám síťové komunikace v rámci všesměrové domény (přepínání) a technikám síťové komunikace mimo všesměrovou doménu (směrování). Třetí část je věnována správě lokálních počítačových sítí s využitím Windows Server 2008. V této části je čtenář seznámen s adresářovou službou Active Directory a způsoby jejího návrhu. Tato část se dále zabývá zásadami skupin, správou a ochranou dat. V každé z těchto tří částí je vyhrazen prostor pro charakterizaci metod bezpečnosti, které jsou v lokálních počítačových sítích využívány. Zároveň v teoretické části názorně navrhujeme lokální počítačovou síť pro fiktivní společnost BigEnergy. Poslední část je věnována praktické realizaci a správě lokální počítačové sítě společnosti BigEnergy v laboratorním prostředí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with methods and techniques serving to implement and manage local area networks using Windows Server 2008. The first part is devoted to the physical design of local computer networks, where the reader is familiar with the principles of selecting the type of computer network topologies, transmission media and the principles of building structured cabling. The second part deals with the principles of logic design of local computer networks, which describes the principles of functional active network elements. Furthermore, this section deals with the creation of virtual networks, network communication techniques within the broadcast domain (switching) and network communication techniques outside the broadcast domain (routing). The third part is devoted to manage local area networks using Windows Server 2008. In this section, the reader is familiar with the Active Directory service and ways of its proposal. This section also deals with the principles of group management and data protection. In each of these three parts is the space reserved for the characterization of security methods that are used in local computer networks. It also illustrates the theoretical part, we propose a local area network for a fictitious company BigEnergy. The last section is devoted to practical implementation and administration of local area networks BigEnergy in a laboratory environment.
