Authenticity of photographic medium

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zaměřuji na téma autenticity ve vizuálním prostoru, a to především v oblasti fotografie představující společnost, lidskost. Nejprve vytyčuji podstatu autenticity s intencí na umělecké prostředí a vynález fotografického přístroje. Soustřeďuji se na předmětné pojmy filozofie fotografie odkazující se na metody zobrazení, vidění a vnímání technického obrazu. V závěru tyto body konfrontuji se snímky portrétní fotografie. Práce si klade za cíl blíže specifikovat hranici autentičnosti a míry uvěřitelnosti s nástupem digitalizace fotografického média.

Abstract:

In my thesis I focus on the topic of authenticity in the visual space, especially of photography representing society, humanity. At the first I define the general concept of photography and authenticity including methods and principles of imaging and seeing the technical image. In the end I confront these points with photographs of portrait photography. The work aims to specify the boundary of authenticity and in which way can be medium of photography affected by technological progress still believable.
