Analysis of Mistakes in Managerial Practice

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu chyb manažerské praxe. Cílem práce je zjistit, jakých chyb a omylů ve své praxi se manažeři nejčastěji dopouštějí (například nepochopení manažerské role, nesprávná komunikace, převaha řízení nad vedením, snaha mít vše a všechny pod kontrolou, neporozumění motivaci). Teoretická část práce se věnuje problematice nejčastějších manažerských chyb, jejich důsledků a možností nápravy a je doplněna o charakteristiku manažera, jeho kompetencí a rolí. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu zjištěných chyb na základě dotazníku s uzavřenými a otevřenými otázkami. Respondenty je 19 mužů a 12 žen ze společností na území Prahy. Na základě zjištěných výsledků jsou formulována doporučení, jak nejčastějším chybám předcházet a jsou stručně popsána doporučení ohledně technik a postupů při tréninku manažerů v těchto nedostatkových oblastech.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the analysis of mistakes in managerial practice. The aim is to find out what mistakes and errors in their practice managers often commit (eg misunderstanding of managerial role, improper communication, management superiority over the leadership, trying to keep everything and everyone under control, lack of understanding of motivation). The theoretical part of the thesis concerns the most common managerial errors, their consequences and possible remedies and is accompanied by a characteristic of a manager, his responsibilities and roles. The practical part contains an analysis of errors based on a questionnaire which consists of closed and opened questions. Respondents are 19 men and 12 women of the companies located in Prague. Based on the obtained results the recommendations on how to avoid common mistakes are formulated. Also the brief recommendations of techniques and procedures for training managers in these problematic areas are described.
