Energy security of the Czech Rebublic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou energetické bezpečnosti České republiky. Toto téma jsem si vybrala pro jeho aktuálnost, obsáhlost a především pro skutečnost, že energie je jednou z hlavních hybných sil ekonomického růstu a dostatek energie za přijatelnou cenu je nezbytný pro fungování každé ekonomiky. V teoretické části budou objasněny klíčové pojmy, a bude zde porovnávána energetická bezpečnost čtyř států EU se zaměřením na skladbu energetických zdrojů a na závislosti na dovozu energetických surovin ze zahraničí. V praktické části se budu zabývat produkcí bioplynu v zemědělských bioplynových stanicích, jako jednou z alternativ vedoucích ke snížení závislosti na dovážených energetických surovinách, především zemního plynu. Cílem práce je objektivně zhodnotit místo bioplynových stanic v diverzifikaci zdrojů energie s ohledem na životní prostředí, celospolečenský zájem a především s ohledem na zajištění energetické bezpečnosti státu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the energy security of the Czech Republic. I have chosen the subject for its up-to-dateness, comprehensiveness, and especially for the fact that energy is one of the main driving force of economic growth and sufficient of energy at reasonable prices is necessary for the functioning of any economy. In the theoretical part key concepts will be explained, and there will be compared energy security of four European states, focusing on the energy mix and dependence on imported energy resources from abroad. In the practical part I will deal with the production of biogas in agricultural biogas plants as one of the alternatives leading to reduce dependence on imported energy raw materials, especially natural gas. The aim of my theses is to objectively evaluate role of the biogas plants in diversifying energy sources with regard to environment, societal interests and especially with a view to ensuring national energy security.
