The Metamorphosis of Teaching Through Interactive Whiteboard

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Proměna výuky skrze interaktivní tabuli se snaží zodpovědět otázku: „Jakým způsobem ovlivňuje využití interaktivní tabule výuku?“. Cílem práce je popsat rozdíl mezi výukou s interaktivní tabulí a bez ní v běžné české základní škole. Proto je nejprve na základě literatury a nabídky trhu rozebráno, co technologicky interaktivní tabulí nazýváme a jaké schopnosti pro ovlivnění výuky můžeme od takové pomůcky očekávat. Dále je nastíněna situace, ve které se učitel nachází, chce-li s interaktivní tabulí pracovat a možnosti, které jsou mu nabízeny. Tím je položen teoretický základ pro výzkumnou sondu. Metodou zvolenou pro třetí část prezentující empirický výzkum je případová studie, která na základě pozorování paralelní výuky dvou učitelek čtvrtých tříd stejné školy a jednoho rozhovoru rozebírá rozdíly mezi hodinami s interaktivní tabulí a bez ní. Z výsledků jsou pak vyvozeny závěry ohledně vlivu interaktivní tabule na výuku.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis The Metamorphosis of Teaching through Interactive Whiteboard is aiming to answer the question: "In what way does the use of interactive whiteboard affect teaching?" Main purpose of the work is to describe differences between teaching with interactive whiteboard and without its support in a Czech basic school. To address that, the first chapter uses literature and market research to define from technological view, what the interactive whiteboard is and to determine expectations. The next part describes the situation in which teacher finds himself/herself, when she wants to use interactive whiteboard in the class and possibilities that are offered to him/her. In the last part of thesis are presented results of a case study based on observation of parallel lessons taught in fourth-grade classes by two teachers at the same school, one using interactive whiteboard, the other one taught without its use. Observed differences are later used to outline the way, in which the use of interactive whiteboard affects the teaching.
