Analysis of the Position of Insurance Products of Accident and Sickness Insurance Including Dread Disease Insurance in the Czech Insurance Market

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem ?Analýza postavení produktu pojištění úrazu a nemoci včetně pojištění vážných onemocnění na českém pojistném trhu? se zabývá problematikou některých odvětví neživotního pojištění. Cílem této práce je zanalyzovat a porovnat vybrané produkty jak teoreticky, tak i v praktickém příkladu. Cílem je i poskytnutí aktuálních informací o dané problematice včetně výběru nejlepšího produktu na základě zjištěných informací z různých zdrojů. Celá práce může posloužit i k zamyšlení o důležitosti pojištění úrazu a nemoci. Práce je rozdělena do dvou základních částí. V teoretické části je popsán systém pojišťovnictví v České republice (dále jen ČR) a především jsou zde kompletně představena vybraná odvětví neživotního pojištění. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, kde jsem se nejprve zaměřila na statistickou stránku práce, metody výpočtu a pro mou práci podstatný modelový příklad, na jehož základě jsem došla k závěru o postavení a důležitosti produktu na trhu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis with the title "The analysis of the position of product of accident and health insurance including serious diseases on Czech insurance market" deals with the issues connected with particular branches of non-life insurance. The main goal of this thesis is to analyse and to compare the chosen products theoretically as well as practically. It also aims at providing current information about these products including the choice of the best product based on acquired information from different sources. The whole thesis also should serve to reflect about the importance of accident and health insurance. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In theoretical part, the system of insurance in the Czech republic (hereinafter referred to as CR) is described and primarily, the chosen branches of non-life insurances are introduced. The practical part follows the theoretical one where I focus on the statistic part of the thesis, the methods of calculation and very important model example which provides basis for my coming to the conclusion about the position and the importance of this product on the insurance market.
