Michel Tremblay applies literary properties of diary creation in the trilogy Le Cahier noir (2003), Le Cahier rouge (2004) and Le Cahier bleu (2005). Michel Tremblay využíva v trilógii Le Cahier noir (2003), Le Cahier rouge (2004) a Le Cahier bleu (2005) literárne vlastnosti denníkovej tvorby. Hlavná hrdinka Céline Poulin si do denníka zapisuje svoj príbeh. Pred čitateľom sa vytvára obraz zrodu literárneho diela, v ktorom sa hlavná hrdinka mení z pisateľky denníka na spisovateľku.
