Evaluation of body temperature in patients undergoing spinal stabilization surgery

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou hodnocení tělesné teploty u pacientů podstupujících operační výkon stabilizace páteře. Práce se skládá z teoretické a výzkumné části. V teoretické části je popsána problematika tělesné teploty u člověka, možnosti jejího měření, hodnocení a ovlivňování, včetně prevence nežádoucí perioperační hypotermie. Dále se zabývá perioperační péčí o pacienta podstupujícího operační výkon stabilizace páteře, intraoperačními a pooperačními komplikacemi, anatomií páteře a typy operačních výkonů, jejichž cílem je stabilizace páteře. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, zda u klientů podstupujících operační výkon stabilizace páteře dochází v perioperačním období ke změnám tělesné teploty. Pacienti byli rozděleni do dvou skupin, konkrétně na perioperačně zahřívané prostřednictvím infuzních roztoků v první skupině a na pacienty zahřívané kombinací infuzního roztoku a samozahřívací přikrývky EasyWarm ve skupině druhé.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of body temperature measurement in case of patients undergoing spinal stabilization surgery. The work consists of theoretical part and the research part. The theoretical part describes the issue of human body temperature measurement, measurement methods, evaluation and influencing, including the prevention of unwanted perioperative hypothermia. It also deals with perioperative care of patients undergoing surgery to stabilize the spine, intraoperative and postoperative complications, anatomy of the spine and types of operations aimed at stabilizing the spine. The main aim of the diploma thesis was to determine whether the clients undergoing the surgery of spinal stabilization undergo changes in body temperature during the perioperative period. The patients were divided into two groups, namely perioperatively heated by infusion solutions in the first group and patients warmed by the combination of infusion solution and EasyWarm self-heating blanket in the second group.
