The transformation of the role of the producer: Specific use of technology in dub music
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá úlohou mixážního pultu a prostorových efektů v dubové hudbě. V první části autor uvádí dubovou hudbu do historického, socio-politického a religiózního kontextu. Druhá část se již věnuje specifickému využití mixážního pultu a přerodu zvukového inženýra v producenta. V třetí části části jsou pak popsány zvukové efekty reverb a echo ve vztahu ke konceptu audioutopie.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the role of mixing console and spatial effects in dub music. The first part describes historical, sociopolitical and religious background of dub music. The second part deals with the specific use of the mixing console and transformation of sound engineer to the producer. Third part explains the spatial role of echo and reverb effects in the context of audiotopia.
