Perception of CSR from the point of view of small and medium-sized enterprises and differences in the application of this concept in the Czech Republic and France

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení úrovně společenské odpovědnosti firem a přístupu malých a středních podniků k tomuto konceptu v České republice a ve Francii. K tomuto účelu je použita analýza vlastního výzkumu ve formě dotazníkového šetření, které zjišťuje, jak velké procento MSP aktivně uplatňuje koncept CSR, jaké aktivity jsou vyvíjeny a jaké výhody jim jejich strategie CSR přináší, s následnou komparací situace na uvedených trzích. Práce je členěna do tří tematických celků. První kapitola se nejprve věnuje teoretickým východiskům práce. Druhá část se následně zabývá představením současných znalostí v oblasti CSR na českém a francouzském trhu, uvedením významných zjištění realizovaných výzkumů na zpracovávané téma a předloží základní odlišnosti použití konceptu CSR na těchto dvou trzích. Třetí kapitola je věnována praktické části, tedy vlastnímu výzkumu a jeho vyhodnocení. V závěru práce jsou nastíněna doporučení, rady a opatření pro malé a střední firmy vycházející z best practice obou zkoumaných zemí.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis focuses on evaluation of corporate social responsibility and the approach of SMEs to this concept in the Czech Republic and France. To fulfil this aim is used the analysis of research in form of a questionnaire, that investigates, how a large percentage of SMEs actively apply the CSR concept, what activities are being developed and what benefits their CSR strategy brings to them. A subsequent comparison of the situation in these markets follows. The thesis is divided into three thematic parts. The first chapter deals first with a theoretical introduction to the problem. The second part of the paper describes current knowledge of CSR on Czech and French markets, highlights the findings of the researches on the topic being processed, and presents the basic differences in the application of the CSR concept in these two markets. The third chapter is devoted to the practical part, i.e. the research itself and its evaluation. At the end of the thesis, recommendations, advice and measures for small and medium enterprises that are based on best practice of the two countries surveyed, are outlined.
