The character of density of a municipality and its influence on local economics (capital and operational costs)

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá charakterem zástavby obce a jejího vlivu na provozní a investiční náklady. Působení zástavby na místní ekonomiku je popsáno na příkladu třech vybraných měst - Hradce Králové, Olomouce a Pardubic, která jsou navzájem porovnávána. V úvodní části se práce věnuje teoretickým pojmům a definicím souvisejících s uspořádáním a členěním města. V druhé části jsou představena jednotlivá města a provedeny analýzy zástavby, provozních a investičních nákladů a ekonomické náročnosti. V poslední části je proveden rozbor a následné hodnocení působení hustoty zastavěného území na místní ekonomiku a vzájemné srovnání vybraných měst.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis treats of the city urban character and its influence to the city budget - especially operating and investment costs. The infulence to the local economy is described on a sample of three Czech mid-sized cities - regional economical and urban centres: Hradec Králové, Olomouc and Pardubice. These cities are compared in many indicators, from many points of view. The first part of the diploma thesis is based on the theoretical definitions related to the urban character of settlements. In the second part there are introduced all compared cities. And detailed analyses of the city urban concept, operating and investment costs are done. Also the economical consequences of above mentioned matters are described. The last part of the thesis is evaluated link between the housing density and local economics expenditures. This analyses is worked out for all cities used as an examle. Cities are also compared to each other.
