Německé lékárny se transformují s ohledem na probíhající změny na trhu - zavádění digitalizace, připojení k telematické infrastruktuře a oligopolnímu postavení předních zásilkových lékáren s rostoucím trendem objednávat léky online. Zatímco veřejné lékárny čelí těmto výzvám, od roku 2009 dochází v Německu k neustálému poklesu počtu lékáren - takzvané „smrti lékáren“. Tato práce se zaměřila na zjištění důvodů zániku lékáren v Německu a na vytvoření ekonomického profilu zákazníků zásilkových lékáren na příkladu národní zásilkové lékárny. První výzkumná otázka zní: Jak vypadá profil zákazníka zásilkové farmaceutické společnosti? Otázka byla zodpovězena prostřednictvím kvantitativního sběru dat a kvalitativních expertních rozhovorů. Druhá výzkumná otázka zní: Jaké jsou důvody poklesu lékáren v Německu od roku 2009? Na tuto otázku odpověděla kvalitativní obsahová analýza příslušné literatury a kvalitativní analýza odborných vyjádření. Pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu bylo empiricky prokázáno, že profil zákazníka studované zásilkové lékárny má následující charakteristiky: 72 % (podle počtu objednávek) zákazníků používá webový obchod jako prodejní kanál pro své objednávky, podíl žen je asi o deset procentních bodů vyšší než u mužů a největšími nákupní skupinou jsou osoby ve věku 51 až 80 let. Vzhledem k tomu, že zásilkovou lékárnu přednostně využívají osoby starší 50 let, dalším výsledkem studie je, že veřejné lékárny soutěží se zásilkovými lékárnami o stejnou skupinu zákazníků. Po-kud jde o druhou výzkumnou otázku, kvalitativní analýza odhalila komplex příčin poklesu lékáren v Německu - například zvýšené provozní náklady, rostoucí online konkurenci s doprovodnými odchody firem z trhu a fakt, že nejsou upraveny náhrady za recept. Možný model pro zajištění celostátních dodávek léčivých přípravků v Německu spočívá v kombinaci celostátního zákazu zásilkového prodeje léků na předpis a úpravy odměny za lékařský předpis.

Pharmacies in transition - digitisation measures, connection to the telematics infrastructure and the oligopoly position of leading mail-order pharmacies with an increasing trend to order medicines online. While public pharmacies are facing these challenges, there has been a continuous decline in pharmacies in Germany since 2009 - the so-called "pharmacy death". The study focused on an investigation of the demise of pharmacies in Germany and the creation of an economic customer profile of mail-order pharmacies using the example of a national mail-order pharmacy. The first research question is: What does the customer profile look like for a mail-order drug company? The question was answered through quantitative data collection and qualitative expert interviews. The second research question is: What are the reasons for the pharmacy decline in Germany since 2009? It was answered by a qualitative content analysis of the relevant literature and a qualitative analysis of expert statements. By means of quantitative research, it was empirically shown that the customer profile from the mail-order pharmacy studied has the following characteristics: 72% (by number of orders) of customers use the direct web shop as a sales channel for their orders, the proportion of women is about ten percentage points higher than that of men, and the largest purchasing groups are persons between 51 and 80 years of age. Since persons over 50 years of age preferentially use the mail-order pharmacy, another result of the study is that public pharmacies compete with mail-order pharmacies for the same customer group. With regard to the second research question, the qualitative analysis revealed a complex of causes for the pharmacy decline in Germany - for example, increased operating costs, rising online competition with accompanying market churn and a failure to adjust prescription reimbursement. A possible model to ensure the nationwide supply of medicines in Germany consists of a combination of a national ban on Rx mail order and the adjustment of prescription remuneration.
