Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se nazývá Použití ROC krivek pri klasifikaci ekonomických objektu. Je zamerena na klasifikování populací pomocí diagnostických testu, které se reší radu let v různých vedních oborech. V poslední dobe jsou cím dál více oblíbené diagnostické postupy založené na tzv. ROC krivkách (Receiver Operating Characteristic curve), které popisují kvalitu testového kriteria. Tento pojem zavedeme pro urcitý konkrétní test a budeme vycházet z pojmu specificity a senzitivity testového kriteria. Uvažujeme napr. diagnostický test pomocí kterého máme rozlišit nemocné a zdravé jedince, nebo když chceme investovat do cenných papíru, je nutné urcit, jestli bude investice výnosná nebo ztrátová a nebo napr. pri poskytnutí úveru klientovi máme rozlišit zda-li je duveryhodný ci nikoliv. Tato práce je rozdelena do ctyr kapitol. V první kapitole jsou definovány pojmy a vysloveny potrebné vety a lemmata, dále testy a metody, které jsou zde použity. Poté také pojem specificity a senzitivity testového kriteria, ze kterých budeme dále vycházet. V druhé kapitole je uvedena definice ROC a ODC (Ordinal Dominance Curve) krivky, spolecne s jejich vlastnostmi. Ve tretí kapitole se zabýváme odhadem techto kivek, který je nejdíve proveden pomocí výberových distribucních funkcí, poté pomocí binormálního modelu a na záver metodou bootstrap. Nakonec ve tvrté kapitole, což je praktická cást této práce, jsou ukázány odhady pomocí výše popsaných metod a jejich vzájemné srovnání.

Abstract:

This final work is called USING ROC CURVES TO CLASIFY ECONOMIC OBJECTS. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve describes the performance of a diagnostic test used to discriminate between two groups individuals based on a variable measured on a continuous scale. The data consist of training set of m responses from the first group and n responses from the second. Typically, a cutoff point, c, is selected, and people with test results greater than this are classified to the second group, otherwise to the first. In this work is necessary to define sensitivity and specificity and also ROC and ODC (ordinal dominance curve) curves and their properties. For a desirable diagnostic test the ODC and the ROC curves rise rapidly and then level out. The area under ROC curve can be used as a summary measure. The aim of this work is to estimate these curves. First we consider nonparametric estimators based on empirical distribution functions and derive asymptotic properties. Next we consider the semiparametric binormal model. For this model, we assume normal distribution and propose a generalized least squares procedure. There is also described a simulation study and an adaptive procedure for binormal model. Then we describe the bootstrap (resampling) estimation, which is one of the simplest techniques and can be more useful mainly for confidence limits determination, very skewed distributions and small sizes of samples. In this work are also graphs for illustrating problems. And finally, we compare these three estimations and their properties.
