Polarographic determination of hydroperoxides in petroleum products of petrochemical industry

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá polarografickým stanovením hydroperoxidů. Teoretická část poskytuje přehled využití polarografie v petrochemické analýze. Praktická část porovnává polarografickou redukci kumenhydroperoxidu, tert-butylhydroperoxidu a hydroperoxidů obsažených v dicyklopentadienu ve zkoumaných elektrolytech ve snaze nalézt alternativu k elektrolytu obsahující benzen. Jako zkoumané elektrolyty byly použity 0,3 M roztoky LiCl ve směsích chloroformu a methanolu, toluenu s methanolem a xylenu s methanolem, elektrolytu složený z benzenu a methanolu byl použit pro referenci.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with polarografic determination of hyroperoxides. Theoretical part gives an overview of usage of polarography in petrochemical analysis. Practical part compares polarografic reduction of cumenehydroperoxide, tert-butylhydroperoxide and peroxides contained in dicyklopentadiene within examined electrolytes, in an attempt to find alternative to commonly used electrolyte containing benzene. As examined electrolytes, 0.3 M solutions of LiCl in mixtures of chloroform and methanol, toluen and methanol and xylen and methanol were used. Electrolyte composed of benzene and methanol was used for reference.
