Effect of creatinine serum levels determined by Jaffé and enzymatic methods on GF calculation using corrected creatinine clearance and MDRD equation in nephrological patients of adult age

Abstract:

Funkční vyšetření ledvin umožňuje posoudit, zda je funkce ledvin fyziologická nebo snížená a zároveň určit stupeň tohoto snížení. K základním metodám vyšetření funkce ledvin patří stanovení glomerulární filtrace (GF), přičemž stupeň snížení GF slouží jako klasifikační marker stupně závažnosti poškození ledvin. Pro měření GF slouží metody se sběrem moči, metody bez sběru moči a také metody výpočtové založené na podkladě stanovení koncentrace sérového kreatininu. Cílem této bakalářské práce je srovnání hladin kreatininu v séru stanoveného Jaffé a enzymatickou metodou a posouzení vlivu těchto hladin na výpočet GF pomocí korigované kreatininové clearance a na odhad GF rovnicí MDRD u pacientů oddělení nefrologie nemocnice s poliklinikou Karviná-Ráj.

Abstract:

Renal function test is used to assess whether the function of kidneys is physiological or reduced, as well as to identify the degree of the reduction. The basic methods of investigation include the determination of glomerular filtration rate (GFR), where the degree of reduction in GFR is used as a marker for the classification of renal damage severity. GFR measurement can be realized by methods with urine collection, without urine collection or by calculation methods based on the determination of serum creatinine. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the serum creatinine levels determined by Jaffé and enzymatic methods and to assess the impact of these levels on GFR calculation using corrected creatinine clearance and on GFR estimation using MDRD equation in patients from Nephrology Department at Karviná-Ráj Hospital.
