Accounting, reporting and audit of fixed assets in the consolidated financial statements

Abstract:

Předmětem dané diplomové práce je dlouhodobý majetek, způsoby účtování, jeho vykazování a audit v konsolidované účetní závěrce v kontextu platných právních předpisů. První část práce se zabývá charakteristikou dlouhodobého majetku, způsoby oceňování a metodami odpisování. Dále jsou popsány základní charakteristiky konsolidované účetní závěrky, metody konsolidace a vzájemné transakce, které je potřeba eliminovat. Druhá část je věnována základním požadavkům na provedení auditu, konkrétní kroky auditora a hlavní odlišnosti při auditu dlouhodobého majetku a konsolidované účetní závěrky. V závěrečné části práce jsou aplikovány teoretické znalosti o dlouhodobém majetku na konkrétním podniku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on fixed assets, accounting methods, reporting and audit in the consolidated financial statements in the context of applicable law. The first part deals with the characteristics of fixed assets, valuation methods and depreciation methods. The basic characteristics of the consolidated financial statements, consolidation methods and mutual transactions that need to be eliminated are also described. The second part is devoted to the basic requirements for performing the audit, the specific steps of the auditor and the main differences in the audit of fixed assets and consolidated financial statements. The applied theoretical knowledge about fixed assets in a particular company are described in the final part of the thesis.
