Analysis of leisure activities for persons with visual impairment in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Analýza volnočasových aktivit osob se zrakovým postižením v České republice" seznamuje s přínosem volnočasových aktivit u osob se zrakovým postižením. Práce se skládá ze tří hlavních kapitol, přičemž první dvě jsou teoretické a třetí je věnována výzkumnému šetření. Teoretická část seznamuje s pojmy důležitými k pochopení problematiky osob se zrakovým postižením. Charakterizuje konkrétní zrakové vady a patologie a jejich etiologie. Poukazuje na odlišnosti ve vývoji osobnosti jedince se zrakovým postižením. Dále vysvětluje pojem volný čas, jeho funkce. Jsou zde popsány aktivity vhodné pro osoby se zrakovým postižením a organizace, které mohou navštěvovat. Výzkumná část byla zpracována kvalitativní metodou, formou rozhovorů. K dosažení cílů práce bylo využito analýzy rozhovorů a metody otevřeného kódování. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že aktivity ve volném čase mají pozitivní přínos v mnoha oblastech, jako je socializace, komunikace.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis "Analysis of the leisure activities of visually impaired people in the Czech Republic" introduces the benefits of leisure activities for persons with visual disabilities. The work consists of three chapters, the first two are theoretical, and the third is devoted to research. The theoretical part introduces concepts important to understand the problems of people with visual disabilities. It characterizes the specific visual defects and pathology and their etiology. It points out the differences in the development of the individual personality with visual disabilities. Also, It explains the concept of leisure time , its functions. There are described activities suitable for persons with visual disabilities and organizations that can be attended. The research part was done by means of a qualitative method through interviews. The objectives were achieved by usíng the analysis of interviews and the methods of open coding. The research results show that leisure activities have a positive impact in many areas, such as socialization, communication.
