The aim of the thesis is to provide closer view to the mortgage banking in Slovakia in the context of the financial crisis occurred during the period 2008-2010. Cieľom mojej bakalárskej práce je poskytnúť pohľad na hypotekárne bankovníctvo na Slovensku v kontexte finančnej krízy v rokoch 2008 až 2010. Snahou je zadefinovať, čo je hypotekárne bankovníctvo, priblížiť členenie komerčných bánk, zadefinovať ich, popísať ich tzv. aktívne a pasívne operácie.
