Anthroponyms and signs on cemetery monuments in Ústí nad Labem

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o antroponymech a nápisech na hřbi-tovních pomnících v Krásném Březně v Ústí nad Labem. Věnuje se jejich dílčí analýze a klasifikuje je z hlediska stanovených kri-térií. Vedle analýzy antroponym a nápisů práce představuje i vý-voj pohřebních praktik a nahlížení na smrt od pravěku do součas-nosti se zaměřením na oblast západní a střední Evropy. Součástí práce je také index verborum (seznam slov), v němž jsou uvedena všechna získaná antroponyma a nápisy.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with anthroponyms and inscriptions on cemetery monuments in Krásné Březno in Ústí nad Labem. The thesis addresses their partial analysis and classifies them based on esta-blished criteria. In addition to the analysis of anthroponyms and inscriptions, the thesis also presents the evolution of funeral practices and the perception of death from prehistory to the pre-sent, focusing on the Western and Central European regions. The thesis also includes an index verborum (a list of words), in which all acquired anthroponyms and inscriptions are listed.
