Variation in later medieval medicine texts

Abstract:

The goal of this diploma thesis is to show the stability and variability of macrostructure in individual drug monographs on the example of "Compendium of Jews from Salms", whose edition has been planned by the supervisor of this work, Prof. L Vaňková, to be published in 2021. The theoretical part offers not only a brief look to the history of medicine, but also information about the herbal book, which was in the Middle Ages one of the most important botanical and medical works in the treatment of diseases. The practical part is focused on the macrostructural analysis of the above work. The results are then processed in individual subchapters, presented in the tables in the attachment and evaluated in the conclusion.

Abstract:

Das Ziel der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit ist die Stabilität und die Variabilität der Makrostruktur der einzelnen Drogenmonographien am Beispiel des "Kompendium des Juden von Salms", dessen Edition noch vor ihrer Veröffentlichung, die im Jahr 2021 von der Leiterin dieser Arbeit Frau Prof. L. Vaňková geplant ist, zu analysieren. Der theoretische Teil bietet nicht nur einen Einblick in die Geschichte der Medizin, sondern auch die Informationen über das Kräuterbuch an, das im Mittelalter bei der Behandlung von Krankheiten zu eines der wichtigsten botanisch-medizinischen Werke gehörte. Im praktischen Teil konzentriert sich die Arbeit auf die Makrostrukturanalyse o.g. Werk. Die Ergebnisse werden dann in den einzelnen Unterkapiteln behandelt, in den Tabellen im Anhang dargestellt und in der Zusammenfassung ausgewertet.
