Mental Health Problematics among Pregnant Women

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jaké je prožívání subjektivní pohody a stresu žen v těhotenství. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo dohromady 200 respondentek. Výzkumné šetření probíhalo od listopadu 2023 do konce února 2024. Ke sběru dat byly použity standardizované dotazníky. První dotazník MPAS se zabývá oblastí úzkosti zaměřené matky na dítě. Druhý dotazník Pregnancy - Relaxed anxiety Questionaire je zaměřený na emoční vazbu matky k dítěti. Výsledky: Analýzou výzkumu byl zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl vnímání žen pohody nebo stresu v rámci jednotlivých trimestrů. Nebyl zjištěn rozdíl v připravenosti na dítě v rámci jednotlivých trimestrů. Nebyl zjištěn rozdíl v míře obav/strachu o dítě napříč jednotlivými trimestry. Závěr: Důležité je sledovat subjektivní pocity ženy v těhotenství a naslouchat jí. Každá žena vnímá svůj strach jinak i vlivem jednotlivých trimestrů těhotenství. Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the thesis os to find out how women experience subjective well-being and stress during pregnancy. Methodology: The research group consisted of a total of 200 female respondents. The research survey took place from November 2023 to the end of February 2024. Standardized questionnaires were used to collect data. The first MPAS questionnaire deals with the area of mother-child anxiety. The second Pregnancy - Relaxed Anxiety Questionnaire is focused on the mother's emotional bond with the child. Results: The analysis of the research revealed a statistically significant difference in women's perception of well - being or stress within individual trimesters. There was no difference in readiness for a child within individual trimesters. No difference was found in the level of concern/fear about the child within the individual trimesters. Conclusion: It is important to monitor the subjective feelings of a woman during pregnancy and to listen to her. Every woman perceives her fear differently, also due to the influence of andividual trimesters of pregnancy. Key words: woman, pregnancy, anxiety, stress, emotional attachment, child, fear
