Virulence Properties of \kur{Candida lusitaniae}

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o virulenčních vlastnostech Candida lusitaniae v souvislosti s patogenezí této kvasinky. V bakalářské práci jsou shrnuty obecné informace o kvasinkách se zaměřením na klinicky významné kvasinky, dále také informace o nově vznikajícím oportunním patogenu Candida lusitaniae a možnostech její diagnostiky. Práce rovněž detailně popisuje faktory virulence této kvasinky. Studie je také zaměřena na onemocnění v souvislosti s kvasinkou Candida lusitaniae a možnosti léčby i prevence.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the virulence properties of Candida lusitaniae in relation to the pathogenesis of this yeast. The bachelor thesis summarizes general information on yeasts with a focus on clinically important yeasts, as well as information on the emerging opportunistic pathogen Candida lusitaniae and its diagnostic possibilities. The thesis also describes in detail the virulence factors of this yeast. The study also focuses on the diseases associated with Candida lusitaniae and the possibilities of treatment and prevention.
