Analysis of the Sound Features of the Russian Language in the Comparative Aspect with the Czech Language (based on an example of the difficult pronunciation of the Russian sounds „ž“, „š“, „c“, „č“, „šč“ for students of the Russian language at the Faculty of Education)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá se problematikou výslovnosti obtížných ruských souhlásek u studentů Katedry ruského jazyka a literatury na Pedagogické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je nejprve popsán systém hlásek v ruském a českém jazyce, následně jsou krátce rozebírány samohlásky. Větší pozornost je věnována systému ruských a českých souhlásek a jejich klasifikaci. Nedílnou součástí je také porovnání zvukové stránky těchto dvou jazyků a popis artikulace vybraných souhlásek. Stěžejní částí práce je část praktická, jenž spočívá v analýze zvukového záznamu studentů bakalářského a magisterského studia. Oběma skupinám studentů byl předložen stejný text, při jehož čtení byli nahráváni. Po shromáždění nahrávek následoval jejich rozbor, jenž byl prováděn opakovaným poslechem zvukového záznamu a následným zaznamenáním správné či chybné výslovnosti do připravených tabulek. Cílem je zjistit, k jakým změnám dochází v průběhu studia ve výslovnosti ruských souhlásek „ž“, „š“, „c“, „č“, „šč“ u studentů ruského jazyka na Pedagogické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity. Hlavním úkolem je tedy porovnat výslovnost těchto souhlásek na začátku studia a na jeho konci.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of the pronunciation of difficult Russian consonants by the students of the Department of Russian language and literature at the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk´s university. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. As a first thing in the theoretical part I have described the system of sounds in the Russian and the Czech language. Then I have briefly discussed the vowels. Greater attention was dedicated to the system of Russian and Czech consonants and their classification as well. An integral part is also comparison of the sound of these two languages and the description of the articulation of the selected consonants. The main part of this thesis is a practical part which consists in the analysis of the audio recording of students in bachelor and master studies. To both group of students were presented the same text and during reading the text the students were recorded. After assembly of the recordings which were followed by their analysis, the repeated listening of the audion recording was conducted same as recording of the correct and incorrect pronunciation to the prepared tables. The aim is to find out what changes are taking place in the course of study in the pronunciation of the Russian consonants „ž“, „š“, „c“, „č“, „šč“, by the students of the Russian language at the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk´s university. The main challenge is thus to compare the difference in the pronunciation of these consonants at the beggining and in the end of a study.
