Abstract:

Tento výzkumný projekt analyzuje populistické rámcování energetické politiky Mexika za prezidenta Andrés Manuela Lópeze Obradora (2018–2024). Pomocí kvalitativní obsahové analýzy obohacené o prvky diskurzivní analýzy zkoumá 201 prezidentských tiskových konferencí (mañaneras) s cílem prozkoumat, jak byly narativy suverenity, korupce a národní identity využity k legitimizování energetické kontrareformy. Kombinací teorie rámcování a studií populismu výzkum ilustruje, jak byla energetická politika rámcována jako politický konflikt formovaný morálním diskurzem a historickým symbolismem.

Abstract:

This research project analyses the populist framing of Mexico’s energy policy under President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (2018–2024). Using qualitative content analysis enriched with discourse-analytical elements, it examines 201 presidential press conferences (mañaneras) to explore how narratives of sovereignty, corruption, and national identity were employed to legitimize the energy counter-reform. By combining framing theory and populism studies, the research illustrates how energy policy was framed as a political conflict shaped by moral discourse and historical symbolism.
