The analysis of public sport support in the city (region): Prague

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vícezdrojového financování sportu. Teoretická část práce je věnována popisu současných zdrojů, jimiž může být sport financován. V práci jsou rozebírány soukromé i veřejné zdroje. Praktická část je zaměřena na podporu sportu z veřejných rozpočtů a zabývá se finanční podporou z rozpočtu hl. města Prahy za období let 1997 – 2006. Větší pozornost je věnována podpoře sportovních klubů a tělovýchovných jednot, ale součástí práce je i shrnutí podpory městských částí a škol v oblasti sportu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with questions of multiresource funding of sport. The theoretical part is applied to a description of current resources which can be used for financing of sport. There are analyzed both private and public resources. The practical part is focused on sports support through the public budgets. It deals in detail with the financial support flowing from the budget of the capital city Prague between the years 1997-2006. More attention is paid to support of sports clubs and gym associations. The summary of support flowing to urban neighborhoods and schools is also mentioned.
