The encounter and interweaving of the Czech-Russian areas during the First World War: Hey, Slavs!

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je komplexní analýza významu a působení unikátního střetnutí a prolínání areálů zejména českého s ruským v období během první světové války a krátce po ní. Silnou pozici zde zastávají tzv. československé legie, které se pohybovaly převážně na Sibiři. Mezi důležité aspekty dále spadá jazyk a jazyková blízkost, dialog kultur, daný areál, autentické výpovědi aj. Průsečíkem je filologicko-areálový pohled a diachronní vědní přístup. Míra odbornosti a důsledek odstupu času je velkým a celistvým benefitem. Práce navazuje na bakalářskou, avšak s tím rozdílem, že se diplomová nezaměřuje na jednotlivé příběhy, ale jde k jádru vzniku celé problematiky legionářské anabáze a s tím souvisejících kooperací i sporů. Obchodní a další česko-ruské styky najdeme již v dávné historii. Připomeneme si vliv T. G. Masaryka, E. Beneše, Kolčaka ad. Pouze fakta přináší nové vize.

Abstract:

The aim of this master thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the meaning and effect of the unique encounter and mingling especially of the Czech with Russian areas during the First World War and shortly after. The Strong position here belongs to the so called Czechoslovak Legions, which moved largely in Siberia. Among the important aspects we rank a language and linguistic proximity, a dialogue of cultures, the area, authentic utterances etc. The point of intersection is the philological-area view and a diachronic scientific approach. The degree of expertise and a consequence of hindsight is a large and integral benefit. This master thesis builds on the bachelor, but with the difference that the master thesis does not focus on individual stories, but goes to the heart of emergence of the issues of the legionary anabasis and the related cooperation and disputes amongst them. The business and much more Czech-Russian relations can be found in the distant past. We recall the influence of T. G. Masaryk, Edvard Benes, Kolchak and other. Only the facts can brought a new vision.
