Diplomová práce provází v každé ze svých dvou částí historií latinských a magických čtverců. Její čtenář může sledovat přechod latinských čtverců od jejich použití na talismanech až k významnému postavení zejména na poli matematické statistiky. In each of its two parts, the thesis guides through the history of latin and magic squares. A reader is able to track the transition of latin squares from their utilization on talismans to their important position primarily in the field of mathematical statistics.
