Causes, manifestation and possibility of prevention of spectator violence of football and hockey fans in the city of Ostrava

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci Příčiny, projevy a možnosti prevence diváckého násilí fotbalových a hokejových fanoušků na území města Ostravy jsem se pokusila vymezit a charakterizovat divácké násilí, zejména to fotbalové, a současně jsem se zaměřila na možnosti preventivních opatření takového násilí. V teoretické části práce jsem věnovala pozornost historii a definici fotbalového násilí, včetně typologie fanoušků a jejich jednání, příčin chuligánství, jeho projevům či vlivu alkoholu na něj. Dále jsem zde věnovala pozornost možnostem prevence diváckého násilí a jejím účastníkům, ať již práci pořadatelů, policie, justice či práce klubů se samotnými fanoušky. Výzkumná část přináší výsledky dotazníkového šetření týkajícího se porovnání struktury fotbalových a hokejových fanoušků a jejich názorů na divácké násilí na stadionech včetně návrhů na možnosti prevence agresivního chování fanoušků na fotbalových a hokejových zápasech.

Abstract:

I tried to define and characterize spectator violence, football violence especially, in my diploma thesis Causes, manifestation and posibility of prevention of spectator violence of football and hockey fans in the city of Ostrava as well as I focus possibilities for prevention of such violence. In the theoretical part I pay attention to the history and definition of football violence, including a typology of fans and their behaviour, causes and aspects of hooliganism and influence of alcohol. I have also paid attention to prevention options of spectacular violence and its participants, whether work of organizers, police, justice or clubs work with their own fans. In the research part I produce the results of survey concerning the comparison of structure football and hockey fans and their opinions on spectator violence including their suggestions prevention possibilities of football and hockey fans aggressive behaviour on matches.
