Predškolský vek je pre deti bohatým obdobím na učenie sa nových vecí, získavanie schopností a nadobúdanie zručností. Jednou z nich je grafomotorika, ktorá je neskôr v školskom veku základom pre správne písanie. Aj v tomto vekovom období sú medzi deťmi pozorovateľné rozdiely medzi pohlaviami.
