Anotace: Diplomová práce ‘Měnící se role učitele a rovnováha mezi svobodou a vedením’ se skládá ze dvou částí. Teoretická část poskytuje historický kontext, uvádí aktuální trendy ve vzdělávání, popisuje roli učitele, metody alternativního vzdělávání a moderní učební techniky. Praktická část je založena na sérii hodin, které vyučuje autorka této práce, kde byly použity prvky projektového a samořízeného učení a postupně se zvyšovala odpovědnost žáků. Autorka poté reflektuje svou měnící se roli v tomto novém učebním prostředí a následně ji vyhodnocuje. Cílem této práce je ukázat, jak mohou jiní učitelé zavádět metody autonomie žáka a vytvořit progresivní třídu zaměřenou na studenty, bez strachu ze ztráty kontroly.

Abstract: The Thesis ‘The Changing Role of the Teacher and the Balance between Freedom and Guidance’ consists of two parts. The theoretical part provides historical context, lists current trends in education, describes the role of the teacher, methods of alternative schooling and modern teaching techniques. The practical part is based on a series of lessons taught by the author where elements of project-based and self-directed learning were implemented and a gradual increase of learner responsibility was given. The changing role of the author in these new learning environments was subsequently reflected upon and evaluated. The purpose of this thesis is to show how other teachers can introduce components of learner autonomy and form a progressive student-centred classroom without the fear of losing control.
