Film center of Czech television and its influence on contemporary Czech cinematography

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zhodnocením efektivity koprodukčních aktivit Filmového centra České televize z pohledu nezávislých filmových producentů. První část práce se zaobírá audiovizuálním prostředím v České republice a pozicí nezávislého filmového producenta v něm. Vytváří také přehled možností financování audiovizuálních děl v ČR a představuje Filmové centrum ČT. Druhá část práce prostřednictvím analýzy hloubkových rozhovorů zkoumá způsob fungování Filmového centra ČT a zabývá se mírou jeho efektivity. Na základě provedené analýzy si čtenář bude moci vytvořit nejen představu o efektivitě Filmového centra ČT, ale i o tom, jaký je vliv Filmového centra ČT na současnou českou kinematografii.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness of co-production activities of the Film center of Czech television from the perspective of independent film producers. The first part of the thesis deals with the audiovisual environment in the Czech Republic and the position of an independent film producer in it. It also provides an overview of the possibilities of financing audiovisual works in the Czech Republic and presents the Film center of Czech television. The second part of the work, through the analysis of in-depth interviews, examines the way the Film Center operates, and it deals with the level of its effectiveness. Based on the performed analysis, the reader will be able to create not only an idea of the effectiveness of the Film Center of Czech Television, but also of the influence of the Film Center of Czech Television on contemporary Czech cinematography.
