Art criticism in dailiness

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje problematice umělecké kritiky v každodennosti. Tato disciplína je zde představena jednak jako teoretická činnost, která má právo na svébytné postavení, jednak jako činnost praktická s důrazem na aktuální podobu v českém periodickém tisku. Čtenáři je nabídnut také historický exkurz, v rámci kterého jsou zmíněny i vybrané osobnosti činné v tomto oboru. Pozornost je také soustředěna na Domažlický deník, který slouží jako názorná ilustrace současného stavu umělecko-kritických projevů v novinách. Jako protipól jsou zde uvedeny některé odborné časopisy, které publikují kvalitnější kritické články.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis goes in for questions of art criticism in dailiness. This discipline is presented here partly from the theoretical aspect like the branch standing on frontier between science and art, and further also like the practical activity with emphasis on the present. This work offers broad explanation of the theory, function, methods, kinds and characteristic traits of this field. In the connection with this there is briefly outlined the history of the art criticism in the Czech, whereas there are mentioned the chosen representatives active like critics of the fine arts. The attention is also concentrated on Domažlický deník, which is used like example of current state of critical speeches in the newspaper. There are also noticed some skilled journals, which publish better quality critical articles.
