Quality of students´ life with increased anxiety

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na kvalitu života vysokoškolských studentů se zvýšenou úzkostí. V teoretické části popisuji historické pojetí úzkosti a poté je vymezen pojem úzkost a typy úzkostných poruch. Dále se práce zabývá možnými příčinami, léčbou úzkostných poruch a kvalitou života. V empirické části bylo provedeno měření úzkosti respondentů použitím standardizovaného dotazníku. Měření úzkosti bylo doplněno rozhovorem s respondenty, kde zkoumám jejich pojetí kvality svého života. Práce poukazuje na to, jak důležité je se zajímat o kvalitu života jedinců s úzkostnou poruchou a zároveň přináší konkrétní zkušenosti a zhodnocení kvality svého života těchto jedinců. Cílem této práce je tedy zmapovat kvalitu života studentů a jejich prožívanou míru úzkosti.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the quality of life of college students with increased anxiety. The theoretical part describes the historical concept of anxiety and then the concept of anxiety and types of anxiety disorders are defined. Next, the thesis discusses possible causes, treatment of anxiety disorders and quality of life. In the empirical part, measurement of respondents' anxiety was conducted using a standardized questionnaire. The measurement of anxiety was supplemented by interviewing the respondents to explore their perceptions of their quality of life. The thesis highlights the importance of being concerned about the quality of life of individuals with anxiety disorders, while providing specific experiences and assessments of their quality of life for these individuals. Thus, the goal of this thesis is to map students' quality of life and their experienced level of anxiety.
