Friedrich Nietzsche - The Philosophy of Overman and its Use in Today´s Society

Abstract:

Friedrich Nietzsche ve svém díle nastínil období posledních lidí, které předchází nástupu nadčlověka. Toto období se v jeho chápání vyznačuje nihilismem a epikureismem - ztrátou smyslu a víry v život a snahou odstranit bolest ze života a nahradit ji slastí. Nietzsche předvídá, že z tohoto období úpadku civilisace vzejde nový člověk, který bude lepší, než ten nynější - nadčlověk. Ten se nenechá svazovat otrockou morálkou, již do západní civilisace nesmazatelně zakořenilo křesťanství, nýbrž přehodnotí stávající hodnoty a jako fénix vstane z popela současné společnosti. Chtěli bychom důkladně prostudovat Nietzscheho charakteristiku těchto posledních lidí a pokusit se zjistit, zda, případně v jaké míře dnešní společnost odpovídá Nietzscheho popisu. Dále prostudujeme, co Nietzsche považuje za svobodné duchy a za nadčlověka. Pokusíme se také najít základní principy morálky, etiky a myšlení svobodných duchů a nadčlověka a sestavit z nich osnovu, jak by měl člověk žít svůj život. Tuto osnovu posléze podrobíme zkoušce a budu se tázat, zda je proveditelná v dnešní době, jaké by měla důsledky (ať už pro jednotlivce, tak pro společnost), zda je vůbec uplatnitelná a co by jí bránilo. Pokud zjistíme, že Nietzscheho teorie přináší více škody než užitku, pokusíme se jeho myšlenky skloubit s dnešními normami a zjistit, zda je aspoň tato střední cesta proveditelná a přínosná.

Abstract:

In his books, Friedrich Nietzsche describes the age of the last men, which precedes the arrival of Overman. This age is distinctive in his thoughts with nihilism and epicureanism - a loss of faith in life and the endeavour to minimalize the pains and hardships of life and substitute them with pleasure. Nietzsche foresees that from this age of civilization's decay will arise new human which will be better than the contemporary man - Overman. He will not stay chained within the slave morality, which is rooted in the western civilization by Christianity. Overman will revaluate all current values and arise from the ashes of contemporary society as a legendary phoenix. We will research Nietzsche's characteristics of those last men and attempt to find if and to what degree current society corresponds with Nietzsche's description. Then we will explore Nietzsche's concept of the free spirit. We will try to find a structure of society based and free spirits and on the rest of Nietzsche's thoughts. We will then test this structure to see if it is still valid and applicable today.
