Forceps Delivery from the Midwife s Perspective

Abstract:

Téměř každá žena si přeje klidný, přirozený a nekomplikovaný porod. Bohužel, ne každá žena má možnost ho zažít. U některých žen se v průběhu porodu vyskytnou vážné komplikace, jak ze strany matky, tak ze strany plodu, a porod musí být neprodleně operativně ukončen. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá jedním z operativních porodů, a tím je klešťový porod. V teoretické části bakalářské práce je popsána historie klešťového porodu, indikace a kontraindikace, jsou popsány druhy kleští a popis výkonu, v neposlední řadě se práce zabývá kompetencemi a rolí porodní asistentky během porodu. V praktické části se práce zabývá případovou kazuistikou ženy před, během a po klešťovém porodu. Jsou popsány první dny po porodu, psychický stav ženy, vývoj laktace a celkový stav v šestinedělí. Po domluvě s pacientkou byl uskutečněn rozhovor, který byl po sesbírání dat doslovně přepsán.

Abstract:

Almost every woman wishes for calm and natural labor without complications. Unfortunately, not every woman has the opportunity to experience it. In some women, serious complications occur during labor, whether it is due to mother or baby issues, and the labor must be immediately finished operatively. This bachelor’s thesis discusses one of the types of operative labors and that is forceps delivery. In the theoretical part there are discussed topics as history of forceps usage, indications and contraindications, also, different types of forceps and the operation itself are described and last, but not least, competence and the role of midwife during the course of labor is reviewed. In the practical part the thesis focuses on the case report of one woman before, during and after forceps delivery. First days after the labor are described in conjunction with the mental state of the woman, the progress of lactation and her general wellbeing in the childbed period. After agreement with this female patient, an interview about her experience was collected and literally rewritten.
