Field relations and petrography of mafic granulites from the Lišov Massif

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje jihovýchodní části lišovského masívu, kde se ve větší míře vyskytují mafické granulity. U těchto hornin byl studován proces rekrystalizace a retrográdní alterace minerálů za hraničních podmínek mezi granulitovou a amfibolitovou facií a návaznost na strukturní prvky. Ve studovaných výbrusech byla pozorována tři stádia minerální rekrystalizace, ke kterým je možné přiřadit identifikované strukturní prvky. Nejstarší stádium charakterizuje hydratace původně bezvodé minerální asociace granulitové facie. To se projevilo narůstáním amfibolu na pyroxen. V mladším stádiu byl pyroxen prorůstán biotitem. Dynamická krystalizace amfibolu a biotitu zde ukazuje již na podmínky amfibolitové facie. Za těchto podmínek došlo k subvertikálnímu kompresnímu zkrácení ve střižných zónách. Podle vyhodnocení strukturních měření byl určen jihovýchodní smysl pohybu ve střižných zónách. V nejmladším stádiu proběhla statická krystalizace chloritu v podmínkách facie zelených břidlic.

Abstract:

This batchelor thesis is focused on southeastern margin of the Lišov massif, where mafic granulites are abundant. Recrystallization and retrograde alteration of minerals at the granulite-amphibolite facies transition and their relationships to structural elements were studied. Three phases of mineral rectrystallization, to which individual structural elements identified can be attributed, were observed. The oldest stage is characterized by hydration of the originally unhydrous granulite-facies mineral assemblage. Amphibole rimming pyroxene crystalized during this stage. The next stage is characterized by biotite cross-cutting pyroxene. Dynamic crystallization of amphibole and pyroxene reflects amhibolite facies conditions. Subvertical compressional shortening in shear zones occured at these conditions. The sense of shear movement was to southeast based on the analysis of the structural measurements. Static crystallization of chlorite under greenschist-facies conditions took place in the youngest stage.
