Tato práce popisuje nejpoužívanější druhy alternativních cest moderního bankovnictví. Mapuje historický vývoj a pokračující trendy. Vysvětluje příčiny bezpečnostních problémů a postoje k odpovědnosti z nich plynoucí. Práce není seznamem či konkurenčním porovnáním jednotlivých bankovních produktů.
