The factors influencing the movement of a horse under the saddle and on the options of saddling

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje faktorům ovlivňujícím pohyb koně pod sedlem a možnostem sedlání. Nejprve je v práci objasněna související anatomie koňského těla, konkrétně osové kostry, kohoutku a trupu. Na anatomii navazuje biomechanika hřbetu koně. Z hlediska samotného koně ovlivňuje pohyb pod sedlem jeho exteriér a případné exteriérové vady. Dalším neopomenutelným faktorem je jezdec. Záleží na jeho hmotnosti, sedu a jezdeckých schopnostech. Následující kapitola poukazuje na skutečnost, že je nutné zohlednit celkový zdravotní stav koně a nezaměňovat jeho projevy diskomfortu a bolesti s neposlušností. Další část práce je věnována typům anglických sedel, jejich částem a funkcím, které tyto části plní. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje problematika pasování sedla, která popisuje kde a jak má sedlo sedět, kde naopak sedět nesmí a následky špatně padnoucího sedla. Praktická část se věnuje chiropraktickému ošetření valacha a klisny a výběru sedla pro tuto klisnu. Práce je doplněna fotodokumentací.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the factors, influencing the movement of a horse under the saddle and on the options of saddling. First, related anatomy of horse’s body is clarified, specifically spine, withers and trunk anatomy. Then the biomechanics of the horse’s back follows. From the point of view of a horse itself the conformation and conformational faults influences its movement under the saddle. Another really important factor is a rider. It depends on a weight of a rider, his seat and his riding skills. The following chapter points to the fact that general state of a horse’s health must be taken in the account. It is important not to interchange signs of the discomfort and soreness with a bad behaviour. Another part of the thesis is dedicated to English saddle types, their parts and functions of these parts. The following chapter is about saddle-support area, where the saddle cannot sit, saddle fitting and problems caused by an ill-fitting. The practical part is focused on the gelding and mare chiropractic treatment and the selection of the saddle for this mare. This work is complemented by photo documentation.
