Vladislav Beran, a prominent Czech flautist who recently passed away, is primarily known for his connection with the orchestras in Olomouc and Ostrava. Significant but forgotten, Beran lives only in the memory of his former colleagues and friends. Therefore, the first part of my thesis presents his detailed biography.
