The aim of this diploma thesis is to show the development of the chosen topic in daily newspaper over a period of time. The theoretical part describes the types of journalistic genres in detail and defines the terms such as text, mass media, newspaper and their types. Cílem diplomové práce je ukázat vývoj vybraného tématu v denním tisku v průběhu času. V teoretické části jsou detailně popsány druhy novinových žánrů a definovány pojmy text, hromadné sdělovací prostředky, noviny a jejich druhy.
